Job summary

Kiewit is seeking a Safety Intern to gain hands-on, real-world experience in construction safety across North America. This internship supports our Safety Department and field teams while traveling to project sites as needed.

You’ll develop and participate in the Project Safety Program, review work plans, and assist in safety audits and training, with opportunities for career growth and relocation as projects require.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a degree in Occupational Health and Safety or related field.
• Knowledge of construction safety and OSHA requirements.
• Experience with Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Strong organizational, time management and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist in implementing and overseeing the Project Safety Program.
• Monitor construction projects for compliance with regulations and policies.
• Provide corrective action recommendations and assist in safety audits and training.
• Travel/relocate as required for projects.
