Job summary

Kiewit is seeking a Safety Intern to learn and apply safety programs, regulations, and guidelines, helping ensure workers return home safely each day in North America. This internship offers hands-on experience in construction management while supporting field teams.

You will participate in site safety policy development, audits, and training, and may relocate to project sites as needed. The role emphasizes safety-first culture and teamwork across disciplines.

Qualifications

• Pursuing degree in Occupational Health and Safety or related field.
• Knowledge of construction safety and OSHA requirements.
• Experience with Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Support development and audits of site safety programs.
• Monitor project activities for regulatory compliance.
• Assist with safety metrics and reporting.
• Support on-site training and coaching.
