Job summary

Kiewit is seeking a Safety Intern to learn the programs and regulations we live by to keep our teams safe on North America projects. You will help implement the Project Safety Program and review site work plans for accuracy and compliance.

This internship provides practical field experience, exposure to construction management, and opportunities to support field teams with travel and relocation as needed.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a degree in Occupational Health and Safety or related field.
• Knowledge of construction safety and OSHA requirements.
• Working knowledge of Word and Excel software.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to travel and relocate as required.

Responsibilities

• Assist in developing and monitoring site safety policies and procedures.
• Monitor construction activities for regulatory compliance and safety.
• Support safety program audits, coaching and onsite training.
• Provide corrective action recommendations and track performance metrics.
• Travel and relocate to project sites as needed.
