Job summary

Kiewit is offering a Safety Internship to learn and contribute to our Project Safety Program across North America. You’ll help develop site safety policies, monitor activities for regulatory compliance, and support safety audits while traveling or relocating as required for projects.

The role emphasizes learning regulatory guidelines, safety programs, and real-world construction management in a hands-on environment with opportunities for career growth and wide-ranging field exposure.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a degree in Occupational Health and Safety or Environmental Safety.
• Knowledge of construction safety and current Federal and OSHA requirements.
• Proficient with MS Word and Excel; strong written/verbal communication.

Responsibilities

• Assist in implementing and overseeing the Project Safety Program.
• Monitor construction activities for regulatory compliance and safety.
• Provide corrective action recommendations and help track safety metrics.
• Review work plans for safety conformance and assist in audits and training.
