Job summary

Federal Express Corporation is seeking a frontline Operations Supervisor to manage daily package sortation and a staff of Package Handlers, while upholding FedEx's Safety Above All culture.

You will lead staffing, coaching, performance reviews, and adherence to FXG policies, ensuring safe, efficient operations and compliant administrative processes across the facility. Training and mentorship for peers are key parts of the role.

Qualifications

• Six (6) months experience required in similar settings (package handler, fast-paced environment).
• Supervisory or military experience is a plus.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred for leadership roles.

Responsibilities

• Serve as champion for FedEx Safety Above All culture.
• Manage hiring, coaching, training, performance evaluation and discipline.
• Plan, organize, staff, direct and control day-to-day operations.
• Assign and manage staff to ensure safe, efficient sortation of packages.
• Analyze performance and implement improvement actions.
• Lead daily meetings and communicate operational updates and goals.
• Develop and administer employee relations and safety strategies.
• Investigate and escalate customer service issues as needed.
• Train new employees on duties, policies and quality requirements.
• Mentor and develop junior Operations Supervisors.
