Job summary

FedEx Corporation is seeking a frontline Operations Supervisor to support the Safety Above All Culture and manage day-to-day operations and a staff of Package Handlers. You will oversee safety compliance, staff hiring and training, and ensure efficient sortation of packages across the facility.

The role focuses on coaching, performance management, and maintaining high standards for operational quality while controlling costs and adhering to FXG policies.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• In lieu of experience, certification program or Associate's Degree in related area or 2+ years of college courses towards a degree
• Bachelor's Degree (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Supervise day-to-day operations and assigned staff.
• Hire, train, coach, recognize and evaluate staff.
• Ensure safe and efficient sortation of packages and manage related admin tasks.
• Lead meetings and communicate updates to staff.
• Address employee concerns and maintain productivity.
• Mentor and develop less-experienced supervisors.
• Adapt quickly to change and maintain professional conduct.
