Job summary

Federal Express Corporation is seeking an Operations Supervisor to lead a team of package handlers and administrative staff in a fast-paced facility in Illinois. You will ensure safe, efficient sortation while managing daily operations, coaching employees, and enforcing FXG policies and training requirements.

Key responsibilities include hiring and performance management, planning, directing workflows, and addressing customer service issues.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
• 1–2 years supervisory experience in a fast-paced environment is beneficial.
• Experience with coaching, training, and performance management is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Champions FedEx Safety Above All Culture and supports related initiatives.
• Management responsibilities include hiring, terminations, coaching, training, recognition and rewards, performance evaluation and management, discipline, addressing employee concerns and staff productivity.
• Plans, organizes, staffs, directs and controls specific day-to-day operations.
• Assigns and manages employees to ensure safe and efficient sortation of packages and cost control.
• Analyzes operational performance and develops improvement plans for key metrics.
• Leads daily meetings to communicate updates and daily goals; communicates publicly as needed.
• Develops and administers employee relations and safety strategies and programs.
• Investigates, resolves, or escalates customer service issues as appropriate.
• Trains new employees and ensures compliance with FXG policies and training requirements.
• Mentors and develops other Operations Supervisors.
• Adapts quickly to change and maintains professionalism while leading staff.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
