Job summary

Hunt Companies, Inc. seeks a safety and environmental specialist to implement and uphold procedures ensuring regulatory compliance and worker safety. You will conduct inspections, training, and liaise with stakeholders to resolve hazardous situations and document environmental activities.

You will assess regulations, support OSHA and EPA/DOE guidance, and help maintain records in line with federal/state guidelines while driving continuous improvement across operations.

Qualifications

• Technical vocational education in related areas is required.
• Bachelor's degree in related field is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain a comprehensive safety and health program.
• Interpret OSHA and EPA/DOE regulations and advise management.
• Identify hazardous conditions and ensure corrective actions.
• Coordinate collection, packaging and shipping of hazardous wastes.
• Conduct regulatory inspections (mold, LBP, asbestos) with supervision.
• Prepare reports and audit processes for compliance and customer requirements.
