Job summary

Hunt Military Communities in Chicago is seeking a Director of Environmental and Safety to lead the Safety and Environmental Program Managers and ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, and DOT regulations. This role reports to the Senior Director of Maintenance & Facilities and drives program effectiveness across our properties.

You will partner with Risk Management, Human Resources, and regional operations to deliver training, audits, and governance while maintaining a safe, healthy workplace.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Environmental Health and Safety preferred.
• 3–5 years experience in property management.
• 4–6 years experience in managing Environmental Health and Safety Compliance in Construction/Property Management environment.
• Experience with leading and implementing behavior-based safety programs.

Responsibilities

• Lead and advise on environmental and safety compliance.
• Analyze program effectiveness and report trends.
• Coordinate site-specific training and audits.
• Ensure SHARP compliance and risk controls.
• Prepare quarterly accident and incident reports.
• Review environmental plans for regulatory compliance.
• Liaise with senior leadership and external agencies.
• Drive driving requirement for company vehicles.
