Job summary

Hensel Phelps in Salt Lake City is seeking a Safety Engineer to support the safety manager and project teams on a construction project. This role applies safety policies, analyzes hazards, and helps implement the accident prevention plan to keep workers safe.

You will participate in risk assessments, assist with OSHA inspections, and monitor trade partner safety performance while learning the construction process and roles across disciplines.

Qualifications

• 4-year degree preferred.
• Occupational Safety and Health degree suggested.

Responsibilities

• Communicate with stakeholders including HP staff, craft and trade partners.
• Assist in accident prevention plan, safety management tool and crisis management plan.
• Participate in the six-step quality control/safety process and follow-up inspections.
• Conduct project safety audits and assist with OSHA inspections.
