Job summary

FedEx Logistics in Memphis is seeking an Operations Supervisor to oversee day-to-day package sortation and staff performance, ensuring safety and efficiency in line with the Safety Above All culture.

You will hire, coach, train, evaluate and mentor staff, coordinate with linehaul and other crews, monitor metrics, lead meetings, and ensure compliance with FXG policies and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Six months experience in a related area or supervisory experience.
• In lieu of experience, certification program or Associate's Degree or 2+ years of college courses toward a degree.
• Bachelor’s Degree (preferred).
• Experience in a fast-paced environment (retail, hospitality, fulfillment center, warehouse, dock, or stock room functions).

Responsibilities

• Plans, organizes, staffs, directs and controls specific day-to-day operations.
• Assigns and manages employees to ensure safe and efficient sortation of packages.
• Analyzes operational performance and implements improvement plans.
• Leads daily employee or planning meetings and communicates updates and goals.
• Mentors and develops critical skill sets for staff.
• Adapts quickly to change and maintains professional leadership.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
