Job summary

FedEx Corporation is seeking a frontline Operations Supervisor to oversee day-to-day package sortation and staff performance. You will champion the Safety Above All culture and ensure compliance with FedEx policies and government regulations.

The role includes hiring, coaching, training, performance evaluations, and aligning operations with cost and quality targets while maintaining effective communication with teams and leadership. High school diploma required; bachelor’s degree preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; Bachelor’s degree preferred
• Six months experience in package handling, fast-paced environments or supervisory exposure
• In lieu of experience, certification or Associate's Degree or 2+ years of college toward a degree
• Bachelor's degree is preferred

Responsibilities

• Serve as champion for FedEx Safety Above All culture and initiatives
• Manage staff including hiring, coaching, training, recognition, performance reviews and discipline
• Plan, organize, staff, direct and control day-to-day operations
• Assign and manage staff to ensure safe and efficient sortation of packages
• Analyze operational performance and implement improvement actions
• Lead daily meetings to communicate updates and daily goals
• Develop and administer employee relations and safety programs
• Train new employees on duties and performance expectations
• Mentor and develop junior supervisors
• Adapt quickly to change and motivate staff
• Perform additional duties as assigned
