Job summary

Federal Express Corporation is seeking a frontline Operations Supervisor to lead day-to-day package sortation and staff, ensuring safety and efficiency in the facility. The role emphasizes coaching, performance management, and adherence to FedEx policies.

The position requires coordinating with other departments, training new staff, and maintaining strong communication during shifts. A HS diploma is required, with a Bachelor’s degree preferred and prior supervisory experience advantageous.

Qualifications

• Six (6) months experience required in the following areas: package handler at FedEx, fast-paced environment (retail, hospitality, fulfillment center, warehouse, dock, or stock room/stock functions), military experience with honorable discharge or supervisory experience.
• In lieu of experience, certification program or Associate's Degree in related area or 2+ years of college courses towards a degree
• Bachelor's Degree (preferred).

• Management includes hiring, terminations, coaching, training, recognition and rewards, performance evaluation and management, discipline, addressing employee concerns and staff productivity
• Plans, organizes, staffs, directs and controls specific day-to-day operations
• Assigns and manages employees to ensure safe and efficient sortation of packages and trailer movement in coordination with the linehaul department
• Analyzes operational performance and identifies improvement opportunities to achieve results
• Leads daily meetings to communicate updates and goals; conducts public speaking to small/large audiences
• Participates in development of employee relations strategies and safety programs
• Investigates and resolves customer service issues; escalates as needed
• Trains new employees on duties and FXG policies and safety/training requirements
• Mentors junior supervisors
• Adapts to changing business needs with urgency and positive leadership
• Performs other duties as assigned
