Job summary

FedEx is seeking an Operations Supervisor in the United States to lead day-to-day package sortation and manage staff in alignment with the Safety Above All culture.

You will oversee operational performance, supervise administrative personnel, and ensure compliance with FedEx policies and governmental regulations while driving efficiency and safety. Bachelor’s degree preferred and a high school diploma or GED is required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
• In lieu of experience, certification program or Associate's Degree or 2+ years of college courses towards a degree.
• Bachelor's Degree (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Hire, terminate, coach, train, recognize and manage staff; evaluate performance and discipline as needed.
• Plan, organize, staff, direct and control daily operations.
• Assign and manage employees to ensure safe and efficient package sortation while controlling costs.
• Lead daily meetings to communicate goals and updates to staff.
• Develop and administer safety strategies and programs; ensure FXG policies and compliance.
• Mentor and develop supervisory staff and adapt to changing business needs.
