Job summary

FedEx is seeking a frontline Operations Supervisor to lead day-to-day operations and a team of Package Handlers in a safety‑driven environment. You will hire, train, coach, and evaluate staff while ensuring compliant, efficient sortation and processing across the facility.

You will analyze performance metrics, direct continuous improvement, and mentor less-experienced supervisors. The role requires strong communication, flexibility, and a focus on safety and quality.

Qualifications

• Six months experience in package handling or supervisor roles in fast-paced environments; retail, hospitality, warehouse, or dock experience accepted.
• In lieu of experience, associate degree or 2+ years of college may qualify.
• Bachelor’s degree is preferred for this supervisory role.

Responsibilities

• Supervise day-to-day operations and assigned staff; ensure safety and efficiency.
• Hire, coach, train, and evaluate staff; enforce FXG policies and procedures.
• Manage scheduling, workload, and staff assignments for safe sortation of packages.
• Monitor performance metrics and implement improvement plans.
• Lead meetings and communicate updates to teams; speak publicly as needed.
• Ensure compliance with policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
