Job summary

FedEx is seeking an Operations Supervisor to support the Safety Above All culture and manage day-to-day operations and staff. You will ensure safe and efficient package sortation, supervise staff, and handle administrative functions in compliance with FedEx policies and regulations.

The role involves hiring, coaching, training, and evaluating employees; leading meetings; and driving performance improvements while adapting to changing business needs.

Qualifications

• Six (6) months experience in package handler or supervisory role.
• Experience in fast-paced environments (retail, hospitality, fulfillment center, warehouse, dock, or stock) or military supervisory experience.
• Supervisory experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead safety culture and support safety initiatives.
• Hire, coach, train, recognize and evaluate staff; manage performance and discipline.
• Plan, organize, staff, direct and control day-to-day operations.
• Assign and manage staff to ensure safe, efficient sortation of packages and proper trailer handling.
• Analyze performance, interpret reports, identify improvement opportunities, and drive action plans.
• Lead daily meetings to communicate updates, goals, and expectations; speak to varied audiences.
• Develop employee relations and safety programs, maintaining confidentiality where required.
• Mentor and develop skills of new and less-experienced supervisors; adapt to changing business needs.
