Job summary

GARNEY is seeking a Safety Coordinator to assist the Safety Manager with project safety training, documentation, and site inspections. This role will coordinate with field teams and travel to sites as needed to ensure compliance and strong safety culture.

Responsibilities include toolbox talks, PPE coordination, signage checks, and documentation reviews; OSHA 30 is required, while a safety or construction-related degree is preferred, along with solid communication and organizational skills.

Qualifications

• OSHA 30 certification is required.
• A degree in safety or a construction-related field is preferred.
• Construction experience or knowledge is preferred.
• Strong problem-solving skills.
• Self-motivated and adaptable.
• Effective communication skills.
• Strong time management and organizational skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Suite and Bluebeam.
• Willingness to work on a jobsite or in an office five days per week.
• Willingness to travel for job site visits and specialized training.

Responsibilities

• Support project and regional safety efforts.
• Assist with safety training and maintain jobsite safety binders and documentation.
• Conduct jobsite safety inspections.
• Coordinate with field supervisors on equipment and PPE needs.
• Ensure proper project and safety signage is in place.
• Review safety results and company safety documents.
• Lead toolbox talks and promote a strong safety culture.
