Job summary

Garney is seeking a Safety Coordinator to support the Safety Manager in administering project safety training, maintaining documentation, and assisting with jobsite inspections and compliance efforts. This role will focus on coordinating safety activities across projects and ensuring adherence to policies.

You will conduct inspections, lead toolbox talks, and collaborate with field supervisors on PPE and signage, contributing to a strong safety culture.

Qualifications

• OSHA 30 certification is required.
• Degree in safety or construction-related field is preferred.
• Construction experience or knowledge is preferred.
• Strong problem-solving skills.
• Self-motivated and adaptable.
• Effective communication skills.
• Strong time management and organizational skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Suite and Bluebeam.
• Willingness to work on a jobsite or in an office five days per week.
• Willingness to travel for job site visits and specialized training.

Responsibilities

• Support project and regional safety efforts.
• Assist with safety training and maintain jobsite safety binders and documentation.
• Conduct jobsite safety inspections.
• Coordinate with field supervisors on equipment and PPE needs.
• Ensure proper project and safety signage is in place.
• Review safety results and company safety documents.
• Lead toolbox talks and promote a strong safety culture.
