Job summary

Garney is seeking a Safety Coordinator (13419) in Savannah, GA to support the Safety Manager with training, documentation, inspections, and compliance. The role emphasizes strong safety leadership and cross-site coordination.

You will conduct toolbox talks, review safety documentation, and ensure signage, PPE, and safety measures meet project needs. This position requires travel and a willingness to work on site five days weekly.

Qualifications

• OSHA 30 certification required.
• Degree in safety or construction-related field preferred.
• Construction experience or knowledge preferred.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Suite and Bluebeam.
• Willingness to travel to job sites and work five days per week.

Responsibilities

• Support project and regional safety efforts.
• Assist with safety training and maintain jobsite safety binders and documentation.
• Conduct jobsite safety inspections.
• Coordinate with field supervisors on equipment and PPE needs.
• Ensure proper project and safety signage is in place.
• Review safety results and company safety documents.
• Lead toolbox talks and promote a strong safety culture.
