MISTRAS Group, Inc. in Baton Rouge, LA seeks a Health and Safety professional to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations and to perform periodic safety audits across job sites.

The role involves reporting, investigating, and taking corrective action for incidents, while promoting a strong safety culture and regulatory compliance. You will supervise, train, and motivate teams in personal safety, maintain OSHA 30 certification, and coordinate training programs.

Formación

• Rope Access training is strongly preferred.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and general computer skills.
• OSHA 30 certification is required.
• Excellent written and oral communication abilities.
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret safety regulations.
• Experience as a practicing safety professional in relevant industries.

Responsabilidades

• Provide EHS expertise to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
• Perform periodic safety and compliance audits for job sites in the region.
• Ensure proper reporting, investigation, and corrective action for incidents.
• Promote supervision, management, and training in personal safety and regulatory compliance.
• Maintain compliance with MISTRAS safety programs, policies, and procedures.
• Complete periodic and one-time safety reports in a timely fashion.
• Conduct job site audits to detect incidents and hazards and develop improvements.
• Coordinate training programs to enhance safe practices and awareness.
• Provide or schedule training and update training requirements as needed.
• Document safety meetings and training attendance per procedures.
