Job summary

Primoris Energy Services is seeking a Safety Tech to support safety programs on projects in Baton Rouge, LA. You will assist in implementing policies, conducting inspections, and promoting a culture of safety across crews and subcontractors.

The role requires an OSHA 30-Hour Construction certification, strong communication, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced industrial setting. You will help manage records and participate in safety training and incident investigations.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED; degree preferred.
• OSHA 30-Hour Construction certification required.
• Knowledge of OSHA, EPA and safety regulations.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
• Ability to perform physical duties on site.

Responsibilities

• Assist in development, implementation, and enforcement of safety policies and procedures.
• Conduct regular site safety inspections, identify hazards and recommend corrective actions.
• Monitor PPE, lockout/tagout, confined space entry, and fall protection compliance.
• Assist with incident investigations and preventive measures.
• Facilitate safety meetings, toolbox talks, and safety training.
• Maintain accurate safety records including inspection and training logs.
• Collaborate with project management to address safety concerns.
• Respond to and assist with on-site emergencies.
• Promote proactive safety culture through communication.
• Stay up-to-date with industry safety regulations.
