Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Inspect facility operations to ensure safe practices and proper use of PPE and guards.
• Investigate accidents and near-misses, identify causes, implement corrective actions.
• Develop safety programs and incentives with management oversight.
• Conduct new hire safety training and ensure comprehension of safety policies.
• Provide training on safe operation of machinery and equipment.
• Chairs the Safety Committee and coordinates safety-related activities.
• Manage inventory of safety supplies and PPE.
• Ensure adequate numbers trained in first aid and CPR; maintain safety stocks.
• Coordinate forklift training and annual safety inspections.
• Coordinate fire inspection tours and regulatory agency visits.
• Monitor hearing conservation program.
• Coordinate accommodations for employees with medical restrictions.
• Communicate with management, HR, and third-party claims administrators.
• Maintain OSHA 300 logs and required reports.
