Qualifications

Minimum high school graduate.
0–2 years of experience in safety or woodworking operations.
Proficiency with computer and MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
First Aid/CPR training preferred; familiarity with OSHA/DOT regulations is a plus.

Responsibilities

Regularly inspects facility operations to ensure safe practices and proper use of PPE and guarding.
Investigates accidents and near-misses; identifies trends and implements corrective actions.
Trains new hires on safety practices, machine operation, and policies.
Chairs the Safety Committee and coordinates safety programs and incentives as appropriate.
Maintains OSHA 300 log and other required reports; prepares regular and special reports.
Coordinates fire inspection tours and monitoring of hearing conservation program.
