Job summary

UFP Industries is seeking a qualified Safety Coordinator for its Mosheim and Greeneville plants in Tennessee. The role focuses on coordinating safety programs, training staff, and maintaining OSHA records.

You will lead incident investigations, conduct forklift trainings, and chair the Safety Committee to foster a safe work environment. The ideal candidate has a high school diploma, 0–2 years in safety or woodworking operations, and proficiency with Microsoft Office; CPR/First Aid and OSHA/DOT

Qualifications

• Minimum high school graduate with safety or woodworking ops background.
• Proficient use of computer software including Excel, Word, Outlook.
• Preference for First Aid/CPR and OSHA/DOT familiarity.

Responsibilities

• Inspect operations to ensure safe practices and proper PPE use.
• Investigate accidents and near-misses, identify causes and corrective actions.
• Develop safety programs and incentives with management.
• Conduct new hire safety training and ensure policy understanding.
• Provide training on safe operation of machinery and equipment.
• Chair the Safety Committee and maintain safety communications.
• Maintain OSHA 300 logs and required reports; prepare regular reports.
