• First Aid and CPR certification; working knowledge of OSHA and DOT regulations; OSHA 10 certification.

Responsibilities

• Inspect facility operations to ensure safe practices and guards are in place and operational.
• Investigate accidents and near-misses, identify causes, and implement corrective measures.
• Develop safety programs and incentives with management as appropriate.
• Conduct new hire safety training and ensure employees understand safety practices and policies.
• Provide training on the safe operation of machinery and equipment.
• Chair the Safety Committee.
• Manage inventory of safety-related products including PPE and first-aid supplies.
• Maintain OSHA 300 log and other required reports.
