Job summary

St. Joseph Catholic Church-Honey Creek is seeking a Part-Time Event Coordinator to serve as the liaison between the church and families for weddings, funerals, quinceañeras, and other liturgical events.

The role includes acting as Sacristan during Liturgies and ensuring a welcoming environment for our parish community. The position reports to the Marriage Coordinator and requires engagement in event setup, readings preparation, and coordination with liturgy staff.

Responsibilities

• Serve as liaison between St. Joseph Catholic Church and families for weddings, funerals, quinceañeras, and other liturgical events.
• Act as Sacristan during liturgies and ensure all readings, readings copies, and materials are prepared.
• Oversee facility readiness including temperature control, setup, and security procedures.
• Coordinate with Director of Liturgy on readings, lectors, musicians, and altar servers when needed.
• Arrange rehearsals for weddings and major events and provide certificates and documentation after ceremonies.
• Maintain positive relationships with staff, volunteers, and parish community.
