Job summary

The Archdiocese of San Antonio Careers seeks an Event Coordinator to serve as the liaison between St. Joseph Catholic Church and families, coordinating weddings, funerals, quinceañeras, and other liturgical events.

You will also serve as Sacristan during the liturgy, helping create a welcoming and reverent environment for our parish community. Responsibilities include ensuring the facilities are prepared, managing readings and music, coordinating rehearsals, supervising access and security, and

Responsibilities

• Works with individuals to ensure Church teachings and liturgical guidelines are followed while accommodating wishes for liturgies.
• Serves as Sacristan during liturgies.
• Prepares facilities (Church/Chapel/Hall), manages readings, prepares equipment and staff notes.
• Oversees opening/locking of facilities and security procedures.
• Coordinates readings, lectors, musicians and altar servers as needed.
• Coordinates with the Director of Liturgy and supports weddings and rehearsals.
• Maintains positive relationships with staff, volunteers and parish members.
