Job summary

The Event Coordinator at Archdiocese of San Antonio will act as liaison between St. Joseph Catholic Church and families, coordinating weddings, funerals, quinceañeras, sweet 16s and other liturgical events as needed.

Serving as Sacristan during liturgy, you will help create a welcoming environment and ensure events run smoothly. Part-time role with responsibilities across planning, coordination, and execution of parish services, requiring strong communication, organization, and faith-based

Qualifications

• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Strong organizational and time management abilities.
• Experience coordinating parish events is a plus.
• Supports and upholds Catholic mission and parish policies.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate weddings, funerals, quinceañeras, and other liturgical events with families.
• Serve as Sacristan during liturgies.
• Prepare facilities for events (temperature, seating, readings copies, etc.).
• Oversee opening/closing of facilities and security procedures.
• Coordinate readings, musicians, and altar servers as needed.
• Liaise with the Director of Liturgy and other staff; ensure smooth event flow.
• Provide post-event duties like issuing certificates and orderly sacristy.
