Job summary

Koch seeks a Software Architect in Houston, TX to lead technical direction for the Short Code Registry platform, defining architecture, standards, and scalable cloud-native software delivery. You will partner with product, business, and engineering teams to modernize capabilities and enable data-driven insights.

Lead full-stack design with React/Next.js/TypeScript/Node.js/NestJS, architect APIs, and optimize PostgreSQL models while leveraging AWS services and Terraform to ensure reliability and

Qualifications

• Experience designing web apps with React/TypeScript and modern frontend frameworks.
• Experience building APIs/backends with Node.js/NestJS/Express.
• Experience with PostgreSQL schema design, indexing, and query tuning.
• Experience using AWS services (3+ of EC2, RDS, Lambda, S3, IAM, Cognito, QuickSight).
• Led technical direction as architect/lead for at least one production app.

Responsibilities

• Define and evolve multi-tenant SaaS architecture for web platforms.
• Lead design/delivery of scalable full-stack solutions using React, Next.js, TS, Node.js, NestJS.
• Architect APIs, integrations, and service patterns for secure, maintainable designs.
• Design/postgreSQL data models, indexing, and performance tuning.
• Establish cloud architecture standards across AWS services (RDS, Lambda, S3, IAM, Cognito, QuickSight).
• Architect embedded analytics with AWS QuickSight including dashboards and security.
• Drive architecture reviews and engineering standards for scalability, resiliency, security, observability.
• Collaborate with product/business/engineering to translate objectives into technical roadmaps.
• Champion Infrastructure-as-Code with Terraform and CI/CD pipelines.
• Mentor engineers across the software development lifecycle.
