Job summary

GCH Tech is seeking a Software Architect to provide technical leadership for our Short Code Registry platform, defining architecture and guiding standards for scalable cloud-native applications.

You will partner with product, business, and engineering teams to modernize capabilities, enable data-driven insights, and ensure reliability and performance.

The role emphasizes hands-on design across React, Node.js, NestJS, PostgreSQL, and AWS, with a focus on security, observability, and IaC.

Qualifications

• Experience designing and developing web applications with React and TypeScript.
• Experience building APIs/backend with Node.js, NestJS, Express, or similar.
• Experience with PostgreSQL schemas, indexing, and query optimization.
• Experience using AWS services (at least three: EC2, RDS, Lambda, S3, IAM, Cognito, QuickSight).
• Experience leading a production software project as technical lead or architect.

Responsibilities

• Define and evolve architecture for a multi-tenant SaaS platform.
• Lead design and delivery of scalable full-stack solutions using React, Next.js, TypeScript, Node.js, and NestJS.
• Architect APIs, integrations, and service patterns for secure, maintainable solutions.
• Design and optimize PostgreSQL data models, indexing, and performance.
• Establish cloud architecture standards across AWS (RDS, Lambda, S3, IAM, Cognito, QuickSight).
• Architect and deliver embedded analytics using AWS QuickSight, including dashboards and data security.
• Drive architecture reviews, technology decisions, and engineering standards for scalability, resiliency, and observability.
• Partner with product and engineering to translate business objectives into technical roadmaps.
• Champion Infrastructure-as-Code, automation, and CI/CD pipelines with Terraform.
• Mentor engineers and provide technical leadership through the lifecycle.
