Job summary

Elsevier in the United States is seeking an Implementation Manager to guide post-sale software deployments for higher education products like Interfolio and Pure. You’ll lead onboarding, configuration, data integration, and adoption while coordinating with Product, Engineering, Sales, and Customer Success to deliver on-time implementations.

You’ll work with customers to plan timelines, manage milestones, and provide training, with travel as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience with 1–2 years in implementation or related field.
• CAPM certification or ongoing toward it.
• Foundational understanding of SaaS implementation methodologies.
• Basic knowledge of data integration concepts (APIs, XML, ETL).
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
• Customer-focused with problem-solving mindset.
• Proficient with MS Office.
• Familiarity with PM tools (Monday.com, Jira, Confluence, Salesforce).

Responsibilities

• Supporting and managing customer implementation projects from post-sale through go-live
• Developing and executing project plans, including timelines, milestones, and deliverables
• Coordinating internal and external stakeholders to ensure alignment and progress
• Serving as primary point of contact for customers during implementation
• Conducting regular status meetings and providing project updates
• Advising customers on product configuration and best practices
• Supporting data migration and integration activities (e.g., data validation, formatting, basic ETL coordination)
• Performing basic troubleshooting and escalating issues as needed
• Delivering customer training sessions (virtual and/or onsite)
• Collaborating cross-functionally with Product, Engineering, Sales, and Customer Success teams
• Maintaining implementation documentation and contributing to process improvements
• Supporting multiple concurrent implementation projects
• Travel for onsite visits as needed
