Job summary

Elsevier is seeking an Implementation specialist to join our global implementation team. This entry-level role supports and delivers customer implementations post-sale for higher education products, including Interfolio and Pure.

You will guide customers through onboarding, configuration, data integration, and adoption, collaborating with Product, Engineering, Sales, and Customer Success. This role develops expertise in project delivery, client engagement, and technical implementation, with

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required.
• CAPM Certification or working towards it.
• Foundational understanding of SaaS implementation methodologies.
• Basic knowledge of data integration concepts (APIs, XML, ETL).
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Effective written and verbal communication.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
• Customer-focused problem-solving mindset.
• Proficiency with standard business tools (MS Office).
• Familiarity with PM tools (Monday.com, Jira, Confluence, Salesforce) is valued.

Responsibilities

• Support and manage customer implementation projects from post-sale through go-live.
• Develop and execute project plans with timelines, milestones, and deliverables.
• Coordinate internal and external stakeholders for alignment and progress.
• Serve as primary customer contact during implementation.
• Conduct regular status meetings and provide project updates.
• Advise customers on product configuration and best practices.
• Support data migration and integration activities (data validation, formatting, basic ETL).
• Perform basic troubleshooting and escalate issues as needed.
• Deliver customer training sessions (virtual and onsite).
• Collaborate with Product, Engineering, Sales, and Customer Success teams.
• Maintain implementation documentation and contribute to process improvements.
• Support multiple concurrent implementation projects.
