Job summary

Suvoda is seeking a Billing Operations Specialist to support end-to-end billing within the Finance & Accounting team. You will prepare monthly invoices, validate data against client agreements and POs, monitor calendars and SLAs, and assist with reconciliations and collections.

You will also ensure proper documentation, reporting, and compliance with billing controls, while driving process improvements and mentoring junior staff.

Qualifications

• Associate Degree in Accounting or related business degree preferred, or equivalent work experience and/or training.
• Experience collecting receivables in the medical/pharma sector desired.
• Excellent computer skills.
• Excellent time management and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and exercise sound business judgment.
• Strong verbal and writing abilities.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a liaison between Financial Operations, Operations, Clients, and Accounting for day-to-day billing matters.
• Prepare and review monthly invoices for accuracy against client agreements and policies.
• Monitor monthly billing calendar and client SLAs; identify risks and take corrective actions.
• Review monthly NetSuite reports; validate data, investigate discrepancies, summarize findings for managers.
• Lead and coach junior billing specialists through monthly reconciliations and variance analysis.
• Support collections and receivable activities; collaborate with internal stakeholders to improve processes.
• Ensure invoices and supporting docs are delivered and uploaded to third-party portals per controls.
• Draft and align PO processes with contracts and invoices; resolve discrepancies with Sales/Operations.
• Coordinate ad-hoc reporting requests with data accuracy and stakeholder alignment.
• Identify opportunities to improve billing and receivables processes and implement improvements.
• Adhere to company procedures and SOX/compliance requirements related to billing and receivables.
