Job summary

Yukon Kuskokwim Health Corporation is seeking a Community Health Aide/Practitioner to provide primary and preventive care in village clinics across rural southwest Alaska. You will participate in training, maintain proficiency in RPMS and Telehealth, and support year-round care including itinerant coverage to multiple villages.

Applicants must be village residents or willing to relocate, demonstrate basic math and literacy skills, and obtain CHP certification via Health Aide sessions (ETT/EMT).

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old and have a high school diploma or GED.
• Ability to read, write and perform math at the 8th grade level (TABE).
• Willing to relocate to a village and travel to Bethel or training sites for basic trainings and required sessions.
• Must be certified ETT or EMT and attend Health Aide Sessions I–IV to become CHP-certified.

Responsibilities

• Provide primary (acute, chronic and preventive) health care and emergency care at village clinics.
• Be available for year-round coverage including summers and itinerant coverage to other YKHC villages.
