Job summary

Yukon Kuskokwim Health Corporation (YKHC) seeks a Community Health Aide/Practitioner (CHA/P) to deliver primary and emergency care at village clinics across rural southwest Alaska. The role requires residency in a village or relocation for service and travel to Bethel or other training sites as needed.

The CHA/P will participate in preventive and chronic care activities, attend required trainings, and may serve as a Lead Health Aide.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years old and have a high school diploma or GED.
• Must demonstrate ability to read, write, and perform simple math at the 8th grade level (TABE).
• Must attend CHA/CHP training and meet requirements; able to provide year-round coverage and itinerant service.

Responsibilities

• Provide primary, acute, chronic and preventive care at village clinics.
• Travel to Bethel and other training sites for required trainings.
• Provide itinerant coverage to YKHC villages as assigned.
