Job summary

Northrop Grumman in Baltimore is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to help develop ruggedized electronic equipment for military applications. You will work in the Hardware Engineering organization, leading engineering teams and interfacing with mechanical, electrical, and program management to ensure delivery.

The role requires strong communication, problem solving, and a track record of applying innovative solutions within cost and schedule limits; security clearances are required for start.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering with 2 years of experience; master’s with 0 years acceptable.
• U.S citizenship is required to obtain and maintain security clearance.
• Ability to obtain a U.S. Government Secret clearance prior to starting.
• Experience in design and development of ruggedized electro-mechanical hardware.

Responsibilities

• Lead engineering teams and coordinate cross-functional activities.
• Manage schedules and budgets for assigned projects.
• Develop and validate hardware concepts from concept to tests.
• Collaborate with customers and stakeholders to meet requirements.
• Coach junior engineers and contribute to process improvements.
