Job summary

Northrop Grumman seeks a Principal/Senior Principal Mechanical Engineer to lead the design, build, and test validation of ruggedized electro-mechanical hardware for military applications within the Hardware Engineering organization.

U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain a Secret clearance are required. The role requires multi-year experience with ruggedized hardware, NX CAD proficiency, and demonstrated leadership in design reviews and cross-functional collaboration.

Qualifications

• U.S. Citizenship required.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government Secret clearance prior to starting.
• Ability to obtain SAP prior to start.
• A final clearance is required to start.
• 5 years of experience in ruggedized electro-mechanical hardware design.
• 5 years of experience with mechanical CAD tools such as Siemens NX.
• 5 years of innovative solutions to complex problems.
• 5 years of leading and reviewing technical work products of peers.
• 5 years of presenting at design reviews and briefings.

Responsibilities

• This position will support development, build, and test validation of ruggedized electronic equipment for military applications.
• This engineer will lead engineering teams and interface with other disciplines and stakeholders.
• This role manages schedule and budget and communicates issues impacting goals.
