Job summary

Northrop Grumman is seeking an Electromechanical Design Engineer in Maryland to design and prototype RF, digital, and mixed-signal modules, PWBs, and CCAs. You will collaborate within an IPT and with electrical design, systems engineering, and manufacturing to meet milestones.

The role requires a degree in engineering or related field, U.S. citizenship, and the ability to obtain DoD Secret clearance. Proficiency with AutoCAD/Xpedition and NX is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related technical field with 2 years of experience (or master’s with 0 years).
• U.S. Citizenship required.
• Ability to obtain/maintain a DoD Active Secret clearance.
• Experience with PWB/CCA design and signal routing, including chip-scale packaging technologies and substrate/PWB layout.
• Proficient with AutoCAD and/or Xpedition; familiarity with NX or other 3D modeling software.

Responsibilities

• Design, prototyping and production support of RF, digital, and mixed signal multi-chip modules (MCMs), PWBs, and CCAs.
• Collaboration within an Integrated Product Team (IPT) and cross-functional communication with electrical design, systems engineering, and manufacturing.
• Organizing and prioritizing tasks to meet milestones within schedule and budget.
• Provide technical leadership and mentoring to less experienced personnel.
