Job summary

Birla Carbon USA Inc. is seeking a Technical Service Manager to act as the main technical interface for the Americas.

You will drive product qualification, provide customer-facing support, and collaborate with Sales, Marketing, Quality, and R&D to deliver technical solutions that boost customer performance and growth. The role requires a Bachelor's in a technical field and 5+ years of related experience, with travel up to 50% across the Americas.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Materials Science or related technical field.
• 5+ years of technical service, application development, or customer-facing experience.
• Strong problem-solving, project management, and customer relationship skills.
• Experience in industrial manufacturing, chemicals, polymers, rubber, or related markets preferred.
• Ability to travel up to 50% across the Americas.
• Spanish and/or Portuguese language skills are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary technical contact for customers, providing application expertise, product recommendations, and technical support.
• Partner with Sales teams to identify and develop growth opportunities within existing and prospective customer accounts.
• Lead product qualification, approval, and commercialization activities to support customer adoption and business growth.
• Collaborate with R&D, Product Development, Quality, and Marketing teams to develop and implement customer-focused technical solutions.
• Manage customer technical inquiries, product evaluations, testing programs, and sample coordination.
• Support the investigation and resolution of customer quality concerns and complaints, ensuring timely communication and follow-through.
• Gather and communicate customer, application, and market insights to support product development and commercial strategy.
• Maintain accurate project, opportunity, and customer information within Salesforce and other business systems.
• Deliver technical presentations and training to customers, distributors, and internal stakeholders.
• Represent Birla Carbon at customer meetings, industry events, and technical forums.
