Job summary

Securitas Healthcare is seeking an Associate Engineer to support the Midwest region from a home-based setting, traveling to customer locations to deploy RTLS systems in the acute care market.

You will install, configure, and commission new systems, perform site surveys, train facility personnel, and provide post-installation support while documenting activities and maintaining equipment inventory. Strong customer service and flexibility are essential.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• 1+ years in Electronic/Software Engineering, Networking, or related field.
• Valid driver's license with no restrictions.
• Associate degree in Electronics, Networking, or related field.
• Hands‑on experience with test equipment (Network Cable Testers, DMMs, Spectrum Analyzers, RF Watt Meters).
• Previous field service experience with extensive travel.
• Experience delivering customer solution training.
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs. 75 lbs may be required in some instances.
• Able to climb and stand on ladders, sometimes for extended periods.
• Able to work with tools overhead for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Represent the company onsite in hospital environments.
• Install, configure, and commission new systems by following company procedures.
• Perform service work at customer sites including troubleshooting, repair, or replacement of equipment.
• Complete facility site surveys to determine usability for products.
• Provide training to facility personnel on operation and maintenance of installed equipment.
• Write facility visit reports, complete service checklists, and manage expenses.
• Attend construction meetings to help ensure installations go as planned.
• Work flexible hours according to customer requirements.
• Maintain strong customer-facing communication to ensure customer satisfaction.
• Manage time to arrive at sites on schedule and finish work on time.
• Remain self-motivated and capable of working independently.
