Job summary

UniFirst is seeking a Route Trainee to join our service team in Medley, FL. You will receive hands-on training through our Service Certificate Program while supporting daily operations, deliveries, and route coverage as you prepare to become a Route Service Representative.

This role emphasizes customer care, safety, and reliability with a Monday–Friday daytime schedule and no nights or weekends, offering clear paths to full-time growth and a rewarding career in field-based service.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid driver’s license, a clean driving record, and reliable transportation.
• DOT requirements including a physical exam.
• High school diploma, GED, or military service required.
• Strong customer service skills with ability to work independently.
• Prior experience in customer service, route sales, or delivery is a plus.
• Comfort with learning new technologies to improve efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Participate in UniFirst’s Service Certificate Program to prepare for an RSR role.
• Assist service team with loading/unloading route trucks, ensuring accuracy.
• Deliver clean garments and products, returning soiled items on schedule.
• Provide route coverage when needed to manage established routes.
• Operate a company walk-in truck on designated routes with safety first.
