Job summary

UniFirst is seeking a Route Trainee to begin a career in field-based service and customer care. You will train in our Service Certificate Program and support daily operations while preparing to become a Route Service Representative.

Responsibilities include loading/unloading trucks, delivering clean garments, and providing reliable service on established routes. A Monday–Friday daytime schedule with no nights or weekends supports continuous growth and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Driver's license required with clean driving record.
• DOT physical required per regulations.
• HS diploma, GED, or military service required.
• Strong customer service skills and ability to work independently.
• Prior delivery/route experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Participate in UniFirst’s Service Certificate Program to prepare for an RSR role.
• Assist service team by loading/unloading route trucks and supporting daily ops.
• Deliver clean garments to customers and return soiled items.
• Provide route coverage during RSR absences on established routes.
• Operate a company walk-in truck along designated routes with safety in mind.
• Work in both indoor and outdoor environments requiring energy and attention to safety.
• Contribute to service department success by building customer relationships.
• Maintain a Monday–Friday daytime schedule with no nights or weekends.
