Job summary

UniFirst offers a Route Trainee program that blends hands-on training with real route experience. You will assist with deliveries, service, and route coverage while learning multiple customer accounts and preparing to become a Route Service Representative.

Expect a Monday–Friday daytime schedule with growth opportunities, paid training, and a path to full-time advancement in a field-based service role.

Qualifications

• Educational requirements: High school diploma, GED, or military service.
• Driver’s license and safe driving record are required.
• DOT compliance: meet Department of Transportation requirements, including a physical exam.
• Strong customer service skills and ability to work independently with a team.
• Physical stamina: able to lift up to 50 lbs. and be on your feet for long periods.

Responsibilities

• Participate in UniFirst’s Service Certificate Program to prep for an RSR role.
• Support daily operations by loading/unloading route trucks.
• Deliver clean garments and return soiled items to customers.
• Provide route coverage when needed during RSR absences.
• Operate a company walk‑in truck along designated routes with safety.
• Engage in a physically active role across indoor and outdoor environments.
• Contribute to service department success and customer relationships.
• Maintain a Monday–Friday daytime schedule with no nights or weekends.
