UniFirst in Alabama is seeking a Route Trainee to start a career in field-based service and customer care. You will participate in hands-on training and support daily operations while preparing to advance to a Route Service Representative role.

The role emphasizes loading/unloading trucks, delivering clean garments, and maintaining reliable customer service with a focus on safety and professionalism on every stop.

Qualifications

• High school diploma, GED, or military service required.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record and reliable transportation.
• Must meet DOT requirements, including a physical exam.
• Strong customer service skills; able to work independently.
• Experience in customer service, route sales, or delivery is a plus.
• Physically able to lift up to 50 lbs and stay on your feet.

Responsibilities

• Participate in UniFirst’s Service Certificate Program to prepare for an RSR role.
• Assist service team with loading/unloading route trucks.
• Deliver clean garments to customers and collect returns.
• Provide route coverage during RSR absences.
• Operate a company walk-in truck along designated routes.
• Work in indoor and outdoor environments with focus on safety.
• Support service department and build customer relationships.
• Maintain a Monday–Friday daytime schedule with no nights or weekends.
