Job summary

UniFirst is seeking a Route Trainee to start a rewarding career in service and customer care. You’ll train through our Service Certificate Program while supporting daily operations, preparing to transition into a Route Service Representative role.

Responsibilities include loading/unloading trucks, delivering garments, and providing reliable route coverage on a Monday–Friday daytime schedule. You will gain hands-on experience in a dynamic, field-based role, with opportunities for career growth

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years old with a valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
• DOT requirements including a physical exam.
• High school diploma or GED or military service.
• Strong customer service and independent work ethic.
• Ability to lift/carry/push up to 50 lbs. and be on your feet for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Participate in UniFirst’s Service Certificate Program to prepare for the Route Service Representative role.
• Support daily operations by loading/unloading route trucks and ensuring accuracy at start of day.
• Deliver clean garments and products to customers and return soiled items to locations.
• Provide route coverage during RSR absences to maintain service levels.
• Operate a company walk‑in truck along designated routes with safety and customer focus.
• Engage in an active role across indoor and outdoor environments.
• Contribute to Service Department success and maintain a predictable Mon-Fri daytime schedule.
