Job summary

Rumpke Waste & Recycling in Cincinnati, OH is seeking a Route Supervisor to lead a team of drivers, ensure safe, reliable service, and uphold company standards.

You will train staff, monitor performance, handle route planning, and uphold safety/regulatory compliance. The role requires a valid Class B CDL, DOT Medical Card, and willingness to work nights, weekends, and overtime. Rumpke offers competitive pay and benefits.

Qualifications

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to lead and develop a team.
• Knowledge of DOT/OSHA regulations.
• Must be able to read maps and navigate.
• Must be able to work independently and resolve problems.
• Valid Class B CDL and DOT Medical Card required.
• Willingness to work nights, weekends, and overtime.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily activities and performance of route drivers.
• Train, coach, and direct employees to improve performance.
• Monitor safety and quality standards; meet compliance goals.
• Run routes as needed during absences or vehicle issues.
• Track attendance and performance documentation.
• Conduct driver observations and vehicle inspections.
• Plan and assign daily routes to meet service standards.
• Investigate accidents and property damage claims.
• Fill in for other supervisors as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
