Rumpke Waste & Recycling is seeking a Route Supervisor in New Castle, IN to oversee a team of drivers, ensure safe service to customers, and support management with coaching and performance evaluation. Role involves planning routes, enforcing safety standards, and handling incidents.

The position requires a valid Class B CDL, DOT Medical Card, and the ability to work nights/weekends. Previous management and waste industry experience are preferred.

• Knowledge of the area with the ability to read maps.
• Must be able to work independently, make decisions, and resolve problems.
• Must have knowledge of DOT/OSHA regulations.
• Ability to drive a truck with manual transmission.

• Manage the daily activities and performance of route drivers.
• Train, coach, and direct employees to improve performance.
• Monitor safety standards and ensure compliance goals are met or exceeded.
• Run routes as necessary (absences, vacations, vehicle breakdowns).
• Plan, distribute, and follow up on daily route assignments.
• Investigate accidents, injuries, and property damage claims.
• Fill in during the absence of other supervisors or drivers.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.
