Job summary

Community Coffee in Birmingham, AL is seeking a Route Relief Sales Representative to support the Sales Manager by planning relief for assigned routes, delivering products and maintaining inventory to ensure uninterrupted service.

You will promote customer satisfaction, load truck inventory, collect payments, and participate in trade shows. A high school diploma and 1 year of customer service or sales experience are required; CDL may be required based on location.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Passing score on aptitude test required in lieu of high school diploma or equivalent.
• 1 year of customer service or sales experience required.
• Route sales and cold calling experience in a Direct Store Delivery (DSD) environment preferred.
• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Valid driver’s license; CDL may be required based on location.
• DOT medical certification required.

Responsibilities

• Plan relief schedules with the Sales Manager.
• Deliver products, equipment, and supplies to customers during relief periods.
• Solicit additional product purchases to drive sales.
• Collect customer payments and manage daily route deposits.
• Load and maintain truck inventory for each visit.
• Maintain product freshness and shelf presentation.
• Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction through service and support.
• Service and maintain coffee brewing equipment at customer locations.
• Record sales, inventory, and delivery information.
• Participate in trade shows and events to promote products.
• Perform routine vehicle maintenance and keep the truck clean.
• May perform additional duties as necessary.
