Job summary

Bates Trucking and Trash Removal, Inc. is seeking an experienced supervisor to oversee waste collection crews. You will supervise drivers and helpers, ensure safe and courteous service, and act as manager-on-duty when needed.

Responsibilities include route planning, staffing, payroll approvals, and coordination with multiple departments to maintain efficient operations. CDL experience is a plus, with a strong emphasis on safety and compliance.

Qualifications

• Equivalent of high school diploma or GED.
• Three years related experience in the transportation or waste industry.
• Valid Driver’s license; CDL experience a plus.

Responsibilities

• Supervises employees performing waste collections services and manages performance.
• Plans routes and staffing to meet operational needs and schedules.
• Reviews route sheets, payroll and billing; handles administrative tasks for the team.
• Maintains communications with divisions to ensure smooth operations and coordinates with maintenance for vehicle issues.
• Assesses escalated operational issues and determines appropriate resolutions.
• Responds to customer inquiries or complaints to resolve issues and maintains client relationships.
