Job summary

Rumpke is seeking a Route Manager to lead a group of supervisors and drivers, ensuring safe, efficient waste collection services. The role emphasizes safety, customer service, and productivity with responsibilities including training, dispatching, and performance evaluations.

Qualified candidates will have excellent communication skills, knowledge of the local area, and the ability to work independently with flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.

Qualifications

• Willingness to work flexible schedules including weekends/holidays and be reachable by phone.

Responsibilities

• Oversee personnel needs of the line of business to ensure an adequately trained workforce to meet collection requirements.
• Manage the daily activities and performance of route supervisors and drivers.
• Train and direct employees to improve performance.
• Dispatch daily assignments as needed.
• Monitor and enforce safety and quality standards and ensure compliance goals are met or exceeded.
• Ensure completion of daily routes and productivity targets are met or exceeded.
• Maintain records including compliance and personnel files.
• Conduct driver observations and vehicle inspections for safety.
